Kuentz Kamp, held in the Palo Verde Patchers (PVP) meeting room, began in 2014. It is a means of giving members, who cannot leave home for an extended period of time, a way to enjoy the experience of a quilt retreat with the freedom to go walk the dog, keep necessary appointments or care for loved ones. Each Kamp is held on two consecutive days from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Click HERE to see Kamp dates.

Members register first come, first served, either in person or online, approximately 6 weeks prior to a camp. Both machine and hand work spots are available. The $5, non-refundable registration fee is used to cover the cost of water, coffee, and snacks. Those who do not get a spot may place their name on a wait list.

Members bring their own projects to work on so Kuentz Kamp is a wonderful opportunity to finish them, seek help and input from others, learn new techniques and get to know each other better. Each Kamp includes delicious snacks, a potluck lunch, and drawings for special prizes. In addition, a session of “Left, Right, and Center,” is played on one of the days.

Members get to share their love for the many aspects of quilting, and they quickly learn they have so much in common. All this has made Kuentz Kamp one of our most popular PVP activities.
